Galvanize Prep Courses
If you are preparing to get into the immersive programs, a student needs to go through the prep courses. If the student opts for the free prep course, they will be given the course material to study independently. They will not be given any assistance. Alternatively, they can pay $250 and get a structured course which can be subtracted from the tuition fee if the student continues with the course afterward. The two prep courses offered are:
Hack Reactor Software Engineering Online Immersive - 12 Weeks (Online)
This program is 100% online and uses the Hack Reactor curriculum. At the end of the course, a student will be ready for a job as a software engineer. The course will teach different languages, frameworks, and computer science basics.
Hack Reactor Software Engineering Online Immersive Part-Time - 36 Weeks (Online)
This part-time course will have a student become a software engineer after 36 weeks. They will learn on a part-time basis on weekday evenings and Saturdays. The student will be job-ready after completing the course.
After launching the careers of 8,000 plus software engineers in 2012, we believe anyone who wants a career in software engineering should enroll in this class. It does not need any prior knowledge as everything will be taught here.
How much does Galvanize Bootcamp cost?
Galvanize costs $17,980 whether you pay upfront or in installments. A non-refundable deposit of $100 is paid for all courses apart from scholarships and veteran benefits.
What are the payment plans at Galvanize?
There are different payment plans at Galvanize that a student can choose.
Pay Upfront: Full tuition fee is paid prior to starting class.
Monthly Installments: The first deposit is paid on the first day of the class. The student is expected to pay the balance in the middle of the course.
Loaning Partners: Galvanize has partnered with Ascent and Climb Credit to fund tuition for students who need assistance. These institutions offer low-interest financing to students.
Income Share Agreements: This is available for software engineering bootcamp students. To be eligible for ISA, you must meet the stated requirements. For remote students living in Alabama, California, Colorado, Iowa, South Carolina, and Washington, ISAs are not available.
Does Galvanize offer any scholarships?
Galvanize Bootcamp is proud to offer several scholarships to help you afford the program. We have a scholarship program that covers 100% of your tuition and fees, and we also offer partial scholarships based on your financial need.
This Scholarship is offered to students that classify themselves as Black or African-American. This is a full-tuition (19 weeks) scholarship to the Software Engineering Bootcamp.
To qualify for this Scholarship, one needs to be a citizen of the United States or a permanent resident and has been approved by the Hack Reactor at Galvanize Software Engineering Immersive (SEI) program. The Scholarship is fully funded tuition targeting immersive programs.
Is There Any Job Guarantee After Galvanize?
No. However, most students attending Galvanize Bootcamp are professionals with good jobs. However, some graduates are looking for employment and want to know if they will be able to find one after the program.
Galvanize bootcamp can help you find a job as a developer or designer. But it depends on your skills and experience in the field. If you have experience working with specific technologies, then you may be able to get an interview at a company that uses those technologies.
