Metis Bootcamp is a great way to get started in data science or learn more about predictive modeling. The course curriculum covers topics such as data preparation and cleaning, machine learning algorithms, and supervised versus unsupervised learning.
Metis Bootcamp has helped thousands of people from all over the world to achieve their desired career goals. It is an immersive training program that can take full-time, part-time, online, or Flex.
Whether you want to go into the tech field or you are looking to advance your career in data science, Metis will help you shape your career path.
You will learn how these technologies can be used in real-life scenarios such as fraud detection or customer engagement campaigns.
Metis Bootcamp’s goal is to equip students with the skills they need to succeed in a career as a data scientist. The curriculum includes:
1) Data science fundamentals – data science is a rapidly growing field that requires knowledge of statistics, the ability to write code, and the ability to communicate ideas clearly and effectively. This course introduces students to the fundamentals of data science by teaching them how to collect and analyze large amounts of information.
2) Machine learning fundamentals – machine learning is another rapidly growing field that requires knowledge of statistics, the ability to write code, and an understanding of how computers work. This course teaches students how to use statistical methods and machine learning techniques like regression models and decision trees to solve problems using computers.
3) Programming skills – programming skills are essential for many jobs in data science (and other fields). This course teaches students how to write code using Python or R and also introduces them to other programming languages such as Java or Scala if they want more options for future careers.
Metis focuses on education in data science and analytics, offering both Live Online and Online Flex bootcamps in a variety of fields related to this area of knowledge. In addition to this, it offers a number of short immersive courses and prep courses that are supposed to prepare future students for bootcamps proper, as well as corporate training programs.
To apply for Metis Data Science bootcamps, students should have a certain amount of experience with relevant fields, such as general programming and statistics. Before you can take part in the bootcamp proper, you have to complete 36 hours of preparatory work. If you need an extra refresher course in addition to one of the Bootcamp Prep Courses offered by the platform, Metis offers a free Admissions platform where you can brush up your knowledge of mathematics, algebra, statistics, and programming before you move on to more complex subjects.
Metis bootcamp experience comes in two shapes: Live Online and Online Flex.
Live Online format presupposes full-time participation and makes for maximum interaction with fellow students and instructors. They are relatively short (6 to 14 weeks) but highly intensive. In the course of a bootcamp, you get regular one-on-one guidance from instructors, listen to lectures by industry experts and undergo career coaching teaching you to create a strong resume, create the right online presence, broaden your network, and so on.
Online Flex bootcamps take twice as much time compared to Live Online format (12 to 28 weeks), but give you an opportunity to study at your own pace without disrupting your usual schedule too much. You still retain an opportunity to use one-on-one instructor support and have to meet deadlines for your assignments â they are just not as rigorous as with Live Online format. Otherwise, it uses the same materials.
All curricula offered by Metis are designed and taught by industry professionals, taking into account the latest developments in their relevant fields. Education is primarily hands-on and project-based: students study new material collaboratively solving real-life problems, and by the end of a bootcamp they have a portfolio of projects they can use to demonstrate their abilities and skills to potential employers. By the time a student graduates from a bootcamp, he/she possesses all the skills and knowledge necessary to hold a relevant position in the industry.
In addition to full-scale bootcamps to prepare career-ready specialists like Metis Data Science bootcamp, the platform also offers a number of so-called Short Immersive Courses: programs with a tighter schedule (usually 2 to 4 weeks) that cover narrower areas of expertise. They give students an opportunity to study a specific field they are interested in from top instructors, finishing the course with an end-to-end project they can include in their portfolio.
Metis is also well-known for its career support. After the main part of a bootcamp ends, students enter the Career Week, during which they get individual attention from career advisors and participate in career-oriented workshops, go through mock interviews and visit employer panels. After that, Metis gives its graduates full access to further career support and alumni network until they successfully find employment in a relevant position. With more than 200 high-profile partners, Metis boasts an extensive hiring network.
On average, Metis receives very good feedback from its graduates. If you take an average Metis Data Science review, you will probably see it praising a few different facets of the learning experience here, but most pay special attention to one-on-one mentoring and collaborative work on tasks and projects. Many graduates say that the claim about the extensive alumni community is very much true, as they keep in touch with their former fellow students for years after graduating.
Another highly praised feature is the attention this bootcamp pays to career support â it literally leads its students all the way through, from learning the basics to finding their job. The cost of education here is rather high (albeit much lower than with some other bootcamps), but Metis puts a lot of effort into making it available. In addition to a variety of scholarships and discounts, it gives you an opportunity to work out an individual payment plan with zero interest.
In other words, if you read a Metis review, you will most likely see an impression of a person who considers his/her time with the bootcamp to be an extremely valuable experience â something you can benefit from as well.
The courses offered by Metis include prep courses, short immersive courses, and bootcamps in data science.

Metis Program
The Metis program is flexible, and students can schedule classes accordingly.Â
– Full-time: A student must commit 40 to 60 hours every week. The duration of the program ranges from six to ten weeks. The short immersive courses, if done full-time, take two weeks to finish.
– Part-time: This is ideal for busy students as they can schedule classes when they are free. The classes are conducted online and take approximately six weeks to complete. It requires six to eight hours of commitment every week.Â
– Online Flex: This is the most extended program that takes up to 28 weeks to complete. A student is advised to commit 15 to 20 hours each week.Â
Other variables will determine how much one pays as tuition fees, such as course plan, program, and delivery method. The tuition cost ranges from $750 to 18,599.
Upfront Payment: Paid before starting the class.
Installments: With the monthly installment plan, the student is required to pay a deposit of $1500 in seven days or less after signing the enrollment contract to reserve a seat. A non-refundable registration fee of $100 is included. The remaining tuition will be paid in three monthly installments.
Financing: Metis, in collaboration with Ascent, have come together to offer students a financing option where they stretch the repayment option to a number of months to students who have been accepted to the bootcamp.Â
Presently, Metis does not offer any income share agreements. ISAs permit you to go through the course after paying an upfront payment (minimal), and the balance will be paid after one has gotten a job.Â
Metis has scholarships targeting women, underrepresented groups, the LGBTQ community, veterans, or people in the US military. These groups are eligible for $2,000 or 3,000 scholarships. This will depend on the bootcamp program chosen. There are 30 scholarships that Metis offers per unit.Â
Furthermore, Metis encourages face-to-face discussions with other data scientists once in a while. They constantly seek speaking opportunities at workshops, including Lesbians Who Tech, Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing, AlterConf, etc., targeting the underrepresented groups interested in data science and technology.
No. Metis does not guarantee a job after training. However, The Accrediting Council for Continuing Education and Training (ACCET) certifies them, which often reviews the job placement rate. There is a requirement from ACCET that a 70% rate of all its bootcamps should have job placement. Â
Metis provides career support to its student’s search by writing resumes, putting together a portfolio, interviewing, etc., as they search for jobs upon graduation.Â

Applicants to Metis bootcamps go through a three-stage Admission process: First, you provide an application and are asked to provide information about your work and educational background. The admissions committee has to review it and decide if you can move on to the next stage; You are invited for a 30-minute non-technical interview with a member of the Admission Committee. This interview is aimed to learn more about you as an applicant and your career goals; Finally, you have to complete a technical challenge to determine if you have sufficient skills and knowledge to tackle the topics covered in the bootcamp. You will have to answer a number of questions related to algebra, calculus, Python programming, statistics, and so on. If the Admissions Committee considers you to be ready to take part in a bootcamp, you will be informed within 2 business days of completing the technical challenge.
